Channel 4 Shortlisted for British LGBT Awards Top Employer

Channel 4 is delighted to have been nominated in the Top Employer category at this year’s British LGBT Awards.

Angus Wyatt, Chair of Channel 4’s LGBT Network 4Pride said: “We are so proud that Channel 4 has been nominated for a British LGBT Award! Everyone right across the company works hard to ensure diversity and inclusion are at the heart of everything we do, so it’s fantastic to be recognised for our work.”

Last year, staff from across Channel 4 worked together on our ’50 Shades of Gay’ Season – with engaging programming; a rainbow makeover for our iconic on-screen blocks; live-streaming from the Pride in London parade; LGBT+ celebrities and allies taking over continuity; and Pride in London airing the world’s first Pride TV ad campaign.

Our employee network group – 4Pride – has also hosted several events over the past year including a panel discussion on blood donation with FreedomToDonate, a Pride event in our Manchester office, a panel discussion on homophobia in sport, and several LGBT+ film screenings and socials.

The British LGBT Awards is designed to showcase individuals and organisations that have demonstrated an outstanding commitment to the LGBT community. You can view the full shortlist at

Winners will be announced at the Awards Ceremony on Friday 11th May.
